President pro tempore Tim Banks-District 1

Tim is a lifelong resident of Bridgeville.  His grandparents moved from the southern states and settled in Delaware in the early 40’s. Tim attended the Woodbridge school district and excelled in Sports becoming a state champion in the track and field events in 1984. After graduation, he joined the US Navy and served on two aircraft carriers, the USS Kitty Hawk and USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN71. After service, he returned home and worked for the state of Delaware working with the mentally challenged population. After a number of years, Tim felt the call of God into ministry. Tim became a full time minister in April of 2000 and a local pastor of Living Life Fellowship in 2006. Community involvement has always been his passion. Tim feels the call to bring communities together for the common good. Tim has been married to Chantel Scott Banks for 19 years and together they have 5 children. Tim was elected to the Commission Board in 2015 representing District 1. It is a great honor to serve in his hometown.
