Apple Scrapple Festival Resident Updates

On October 10th & 11th the Apple Scrapple Committee will be hosting the 33rd Annual Apple Scrapple Festival; there are several changes to this year’s festival that will affect residents. Traffic patterns have been updated and will include more street closures. Due to the number of vendors and other activities along the streets listed below, there will be NO PARKING permitted in front of residences as noted:

 

*FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2025 (8:00AM) THROUGH SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2025 (8:00AM)

            DELAWARE AVENUE (ALL BLOCKS)

            WALNUT STREET (ALL BLOCKS)

            SOUTH CANNON STREET (MARKET ST. TO CEDAR ST.)

            LAWS STREET (MARKET ST. TO EDGEWOOD ST.)

            WILLIAMS STREET (MARKET ST. TO WALNUT ST.)

            RAILROAD AVENUE (MARKET ST. TO SUSSEX AVENUE EXT.)

 

ADDITIONAL STREET CLOSURES INCLUDE:

            MILL STREET

            JOHN STREET

            MECHANIC STREET

            CEDAR STREET

            CHERRY LANE

                       

To allow the company to street-sweep the Food Court area, we also ask you not to park on the street:

SUNDAY, OCT. 12, 2025 (12:00AM) THROUGH MONDAY, OCT. 13, 2025 (12:00PM)

              DELAWARE AVENUE (LAWS ST. TO RAILROAD AVENUE)

              SOUTH CANNON STREET (MARKET ST. TO WALNUT ST.)

 

Some streets will be closed both days, while other streets will be closed on Saturday only.  A few food vendors will be setting up on Thursday evening, October 9th, in front of properties.

 

*SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11TH * MARKET STREET WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC EXCEPT BUSES FROM 6:00AM TO 6:00PM; AND DELAWARE AVENUE (300-400 BLOCKS) WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC 6:00am TO MIDNIGHT. Residents MUST have all vehicles off the street by 6:00AM SATURDAY or they will be towed at the owner’s expense.

 

Please make every effort NOT to block the alleys due to the passage of emergency vehicles (fire trucks, ambulance, or police).  Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.

 

RESIDENTS– EACH RESIDENT MUST PICK UP THEIR PASS AT TOWN HALL OR THE LIBRARY BEFORE OCTOBER 9TH! EACH PASS WILL BE RESIDENT/VEHICLE SPECIFIC. PLEASE BRING PROOF OF RESIDENCY WHEN PICKING UP YOUR PASS. THE PASS MUST BE PLACED ON THE DASH OF YOUR VEHICLE TO ALLOW YOU ACCESS TO THE ALLEY BEHIND YOUR PROPERTY ON THE DAYS OF THE FESTIVAL. RESIDENT PASSES ARE FOR RESIDENTS ONLY; COPIES ARE NOT PERMITTED.

BUSINESS– EACH BUSINESS OWNER MUST PICK UP THEIR PASSES AT TOWN HALL OR THE LIBRARY BEFORE OCTOBER 9TH! EACH PASS WILL BE EMPLOYEE/VEHICLE SPECIFIC. PLEASE BRING A LIST OF EMPLOYEES WORKING SATURDAY WHEN PICKING UP YOUR PASSES. THE PASS MUST BE PLACED ON THE DASH OF THE ASSIGNED VEHICLE TO ALLOW ACCESS AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THE BUSINESS ON THE SATURDAY OF THE FESTIVAL. BUSINESS PASSES ARE FOR EMPLOYEES WORKING AT AN OPEN BUSINESS ON SATURDAY ONLY; COPIES ARE NOT PERMITTED.
